But, in my humble opinion yet again, although they have some highly talented and gifted players, I doubt they have a good enough team to do it. look back at England s overall performances throughout the 2006 World cup qualifying campaign and you can see just what the team lacks, and why England will not win the World cup next year. A great team is built not just with technical ability (of which England have absolutely loads), fame and fortune but also passion, teamwork, commitment, tactics and personality, (all of which England desperately lacks).

I may not be the most ardent follower of the sport but I think Im right in saying England actually only have a couple of player in the world rankings for batting and bowling, however as a team they are formidable. A Perfect Golf Swing Completely Controls The Flight Of The Ball

The flight of the golf ball is totally controllable by the impact of the club face and the ball.

For a straight shot the club face must be square to the flight line, traveling straight down said line and have the desired amount of loft as the ball is impacted. The ball must also be struck directly on the sweet spot of the club face and as if that is not enough we need a goodly amount of club head speed to get that perfectly straight flying golf shot.

For many years golf instructors have said that the straight flying shot is the hardest shot in golf to hit since it requires all of the above factors. Due to that most top players either favor a fade or a draw to eliminate erring one way or the other.

This generally works, but sometimes the curvature is either too much, perhaps not enough or still worse a double cross where the intended shot does the opposite of what was planned.

When the golf swing incorporates a rolling over action of the forearms this intentional curvature is definitely needed.

However when the forearms do not roll over through impact it is no harder to hit a straight shot than any other type of shot. As a matter of fact it has long been known that the shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line.

Maximum ball compression can only be had with a true straight shot. Any error in path or club face angle at impact lessens said compression. The more compression we lose the more distance we lose for any given club head speed, in other words we can gain substantial distance through perfect club ball contact.

To that end here are the ball flight rules that determine the power, accuracy and shape of the shot.

Straight shot- club face square, traveling straight down the target line with proper loft. The ball will only carry back spin and have no side spin.

Fade- The fade is caused by a club face that is either open to the flight line as the club head travels straight down the flight line or a club face that is square to the flight line but not traveling straight down the flight line and coming from outside it before impact to inside it after impact. The ball will carry a combination of back spin and side spin.

Draw- The draw is the exact reverse of the fade.

Slice- The slice is simply a larger version of the fade, and is often caused by not rolling the forearms to square or a severe out to in club head path. This out to in club head path may also have an open club face creating an even bigger slice.

Hook- The exact reverse of the slice.

Now that you know what causes the curvature you are halfway to fixing it.

But in addition to supporting a worthy cause, golf tournament sponsorship represents an opportunity for effective advertising. This article contains some anecdotal evidence to support this theory.

At a golf tournament a while ago, I happened to be on the same foursome and share a cart with one of that tournaments major sponsors. This fellow was a marketing manager for a car dealership. His rather enviable job description included playing in tournaments that the company sponsored, which through the summer months amounted to about two or three a week. Of course, he had some other responsibilities like making sure the cars from the dealership were displayed properly and the gift bags his company sponsored got to every golfer. So it was a long day for him, showing up well before the tournament started and leaving long after the last after dinner speech was made. But even so, he still got to golf as major part of his job. He had a hard time garnering any sympathy from our group.

As we talked throughout the day, I learned that his job of playing golf had not come about by accident. A few years earlier, he had done some extensive research and analysis of the companys advertising budgets, their media exposure and the cost effectiveness of the various types of promotion they were undertaking at the time. This analysis resulted in the very conscious and deliberate decision to drop their media advertising and focus their budget on event sponsorship.

In other words, they found that the caps and shirts they gave away at each golf tournament, the cars they had on display at hole-in-one and other contest holes, their logo on the program and on signs located around the golf tournament, and their name on the sponsor list in the paper and on the tournament website, and so on, resulted in more exposure and more people showing up at the dealership when shopping for a car, than the ads they used to run in the paper and on radio and television.

He would not divulge any numbers, but I can imagine what a major car dealership in a city of over a million would spend on advertising in a year. It would be millions of dollars. To divert this budget to sponsorships was a major decision. Given the money involved, I believe him when he talked about the homework they did before making the decision and the research they did on an ongoing basis to monitor the effectiveness of their expenditure.

He believed the strategy of sponsoring golf tournaments and other events was effective for a number of reasons. They appeared to be more a part of the community if they were associated with local causes and organizations. This elevated the perception of trust in the minds of consumers. The prizes and gifts they gave away, like caps and shirts, displayed their company logo to far more people for far longer, with that positive association, than any form of media advertising. And they could target their audience very carefully and specifically.

So when a charity calls asking your company for sponsorship of its golf tournament, think about supporting the cause, but also think about the win-win that can be accomplished by strategic placement of some of your promotion budget into golf tournament sponsorship.

tropical Storm Rita is looking for some warmer water and moving towards the gulf of mexico with nothing in her way. Ready or not here comes Rita and she is really growing fast. Rita is already a fairly large system and moves directly thru the alleyway between cuba and Floridas Southern Most coast and will travel directly over the Florida keys. Unfortunately the only way out of the keys will be thru Rita, as she approaches from West to East, while the escape route by land is from East to West?

The atlantic hurricanes are now on number 18 named storms, while the Pacific coast is still on the Ms for tropical storms. Meanwhile the moon cycle and Solar Flares are problematic and adding to the atmospheric energy right now and once these storms get started they will grow in a turbulent environment of higher seas, white caps, warmer waters and we are still in the peak of hurricane Season, in September.

On June 10th something wonderful happened, and the media hasn't paid much attention yet. On that day, the National Public health Road Map to Maintaining Cognitive health was released by the CDC and the Alzheimer's Association. The authors proposed a set of 44 actions to reach a lofty goal: To maintain or improve the cognitive performance of all adults across America. This is great timing, given all the research and media attention that this field is getting, and the aging of the baby boomer population.

I want to first share with you the 10 top actions proposed by this report, and then provide a quick glossary to explain the key words that you will hear more and more when discussing brain health.

Top recommendations:

1) To determine how diverse audiences think about cognitive health and its associations with lifestyle factors. This work has all-ready yielded in a phenomenal report on Baby boomers' current opinion of Brain health and fitness, that you can find in the website of the MetLife Foundation.

2) To disseminate the latest science to increase public understanding of cognitive health and to dispel common misconceptions. How To Set Up Your Wii

Now that you have fought off the nasty crowds at the electronics store, and secured your nintendo Wii system, got it home without incident and into your house, this is what you should do. Follow these steps to set up your Wii:

1) remove the Wii from the box
2) remove the AV cable and the AC adapter
3) remove the stand plate, vertical stand, sensor bar and sensor-bar stand
4) remove the Nunchuk and Wii remote
5) Choose your location near the TV for your Wii and set it up vertically or horizontally
6) Connect the AV cable and the AC adapter to the Wii
7) Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet. Connect the AV cable to the input on your TV. Connect the yellow cable to the video input and the red and white cables to the audio inputs
8) Get out the remote control and put in the batteries

over the weekend I watched a master at work, a master by the name of Tiger woods. Tiger, I hope, is an inspiration to a massive amount of people around the world and is just a joy to behold. I truly believe that he is the best golfer to have set foot on this planet and am confident that he will soon beat the record of Jack nicklaus who won eighteen major titles.

I have learnt a great deal from Tiger woods and I feel that we can all benefit from not only watching this man but also to listening to what he has to say. He is a true champion, possibly the greatest champion and we can all learn from him in our quest to achieve success.

After winning on sunday, Tiger woods spoke about some of the other professionals from the game of golf. He did not mention any specific names but just about the players in general. He stated that, in his opinion, not all of the golfers treated the game as a sport and that he had felt as fit and raring to go on the last hole on sunday, as he had done on the first hole on Thursday. In contrast to this, he could see in front of his own eyes, other players seemingly wilting in the heat.

The additional effort that Tiger woods puts in each day via his own fitness regime, really paid off when it mattered in this tournament. To be a real champion you need to go that extra mile, to work harder than your fellow competitors.

In my search for the optimal time to have the lawn sprinkler system run, I came across Doug Bailey at Efficient Irrigation Resources. They explained that your lawn can only hold so much water and it just runs through the soil, carrying with it the nutrients your lawn needs, especially after you fertilize. 2) Visualize the putt. See if you can estimate the actual time the putt will take to reach the hole. Don't forget to visualize the speed and putt line of the ball as well.

3) Take this visualization and translate it into your putt stroke. Figure out how long a stroke you'll need to give the ball enough speed to reach the hole.

4) While putts inside 10 feet are crucial to your golf game, make sure to practice longer putts of 30 and 40 feet as well, every time you practice putting.

If your window is locked (and it should be) when you are away or sleeping, a burglar has to break the glass or remove the glass to unlock it. If they break the glass and the alarm does not sound, why would they open the window? Instead they would most likely clear the broken glass and climb in. That is why your money is better spent on motion detectors and/or glass- break sound detectors.

If you have children, window contacts can be a valuable tool. They will keep your youngsters from opening the window for a stranger. And they will also make your teenager sorry you ever read this. (If they tell you all they want for the holidays is a magnet, the jigs up!) Window contacts are often better at keeping people in than they are at keeping burglars out. If you do choose to use window contacts you may like the fact that the surface mounted versions can be set up so that you can keep your window open a few inches for ventilation and still be armed.
